April’s journey in dentistry started when she was 19, working as a dental assistant during her college summers. She was studying healthcare at the time, but once she saw how much a healthy smile could transform someone’s life, she knew she had found her true calling.
She went on to earn her dental hygiene degree from Utah Valley University and has since gained certifications in local anesthesia and laser therapy. She is also a proud member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. What she enjoys most about her work is building relationships with patients. She loves getting to know their stories, helping them achieve their oral health goals, and making every visit as easy and stress-free as possible.
When she is not at the office, April enjoys life in Tampa, FL, with her family. She appreciates the city’s energy, from the sports scene to the local culture, and she is grateful to be part of such a welcoming community. Helping people feel good about their smiles is more than a job to her. It is something she genuinely loves to do.

For Dr. Michael Walbom, known by his patients as Dr. Mike, dentistry is about more than just oral health. His mission is to ensure that every patient has a positive, stress-free experience at the dentist. He is especially passionate about helping those who struggle with anxiety, PTSD, or past dental trauma. This commitment led him to specialize in dentist anesthesiology, where he focuses on providing safe and comfortable sedation for patients undergoing treatment.
With five years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Mike is uniquely qualified to offer in-office sedation and anesthesia services. His expertise in sedation techniques has earned him recognition in the field, with publications in national journals and invitations to lecture internationally on patient safety and anesthesia advancements.
Dr. Mike holds professional affiliations with the American Dental Association, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, and the Dental Patient Safety Foundation. In addition to his clinical work, he is deeply committed to community outreach. He volunteers with organizations such as Mission of Mercy and Remote Area Medicine and has participated in global service trips to bring dental care to underserved populations.
